Evanston has a number of amenities that make it attractive to the growing family. There are a number of great public schools in the district, as well as separate schools run by the CSSE. A number of parks, playgrounds and tot lots provide children with the space to play. The historic Nose Hill Park is only a few km away.
Shopping and dining can be had at Creekside Shopping Center, at 12030 Simons Valley Rd NW. An exciting opportunity that could significantly raise the value of Evanston homes is the construction of the Evanston Towne Centre. The future 136,000 square foot shopping centre will be located just north of the future Stoney Trail extension, on the Symons Valley Parkway. Construction is slated to begin in 2009.
