Nestled in the northeast area of Ranchlands, you’ll find the neighbourhood of Ranchlands Estates. The main boundaries of this small community are John Laurie Blvd to the north and Sarcee Trail to the east, with the rest of the neighbourhood being bordered by the community of Ranchlands. Ranchlands Estates homes consist mostly of single family homes with some duplexes and condos also in the area.

The neighbourhood of Ranchlands Estates backs onto a green space featuring a series of walking trails, and residents also enjoy the same recreational amenities as the community of Ranchlands. The community association offers several recreational facilities such as an outdoor rink, sports fields and tennis courts.
There are two elementary schools serving the community, Ranchlands Community School (Public) and St. Rita Elementary School (Separate). There is also H. D. Cartwright School, a middle school located in the neighbouring community of Dalhousie.
The major shopping centre nearest to residents is Crowfoot Centre, which features a wide selection of shops and services, and borders Ranchlands on its western boundary. Residents also have access to two small shopping plazas located conveniently within the Ranchlands community.
Accessibility to downtown Calgary via Crowchild Trail is another great feature of Ranchlands Estates. The drive by car is about 20 minutes, and residents now have the option of travelling by C-Train from the new Crowfoot terminal station which opened in the summer of 2009.
