Both 4th street and 16th avenue offer a small selection of local shops and restaurants situated within Mount Pleasant’s boundaries. The location of Mount Pleasant supplies residents with a variety of shopping choices including the North Hill Shopping Centre and an abundance of unique shops just minutes away in Kensington.
The area offers plenty of opportunities for recreation with the Mount Pleasant community centre outdoor pool, skating rink and Confederation Park. Conveniently located nearby are the University of Calgary and SAIT, while the downtown core can easily be accessed from 10th avenue.
Mount Pleasant homes consist mostly of single family homes. There are also a large number of condos and some duplexes. There are five schools in the area: King George Bilingual Elementary (Public), Queen Elizabeth Elementary and High School (Public) and St. Joseph Elementary and Junior High (Separate).
