Evergreen is one of the newer communities that can be found in the south-western quadrant of the city of Calgary. The neighborhood was first developed during the 1980s and the community has a strong emphasis on family living. Evergreen is bordered by Fish Creek Provincial Park in the north, Fish Creek Boulevard in the east, 37th Street SW to the west and 162nd Avenue SW to the south. The neighborhood has its own community association and is represented by Ward 13 in the Calgary City Council.
