The community of Citadel was formed in 1993 and is popular for its pathways leading to the central hub. Located in the central hub is a large recreational green space which contains a park, playground, outdoor ice rink, soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts.

 

There are a couple of schools which service the community. Citadel Park School which is a K-3 public school and St. Bridget Elementary Junior High School which is part of seperate school system and is a K-9.

 

Homes in the neighborhood are mainly made up of single family homes. There are various condominium developments which offer low rise appartments and townhouses.

 

Citadel is now popular for its ideal shopping with the Beacon Hill Shopping Center which host a number of  stores. You will be able to find Costco, Home Depot, The Brick, Mexx, Aldo and financial institution like RBC. Or you can make your way south towards Crowfoot Shopping center to find restaurants, a movie theatre and the famous Schanks Sports Bar.
